Elizabeth Wahyu

Diamond will always shine even if it’s buried in mud.

This proverb illustrate well how Elizabeth Wahyu discovered her valuable artistic talent; making and designing jewelries. After graduating from business school and starting her career in some companies both in America and Indonesia, she finally followed her instinct to tassel beads into sparkling jewelries. Excited by her new work, she displayed it in her former craft school. Surprisingly, some women became big fans and before she realized it, custom-made orders kept her busy.

It only took her one year to decide to focus on jewelry making and designs. In 2003, she opened her first jewelry boutique in Kemang, South Jakarta. The brand Elizabeth Wahyu Accessories (EWA) was launched. Realizing that it was not simply a hobby anymore, she enhanced her skill from only tasseling beads into wiring and mixing unique material such as polymer clay and fur to her work of art. In order to accommodate the growing orders, employment recruitment and training were also conducted.

2005 is such a historical year for EWA as in that year the products got even more luxurious and enchanting because they started to be made with CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski Elements. In fact, up to now, EWA is one of the few Indonesian jewelry brands whose designs incorporate CRYSTALLIZED™ – Swarovski Elements

Following the thriving success, some business refurbishments were necessary in order to cover wider scope of customer. The old romantic logo was switched into a strong modern look. The most pleasing color, green was chosen to be the corporate color to symbolize freshness in idea and spirit. Furthermore, the boutique’s interior was renovated into a captivating design; the first floor is dominated with natural color, suitable for people with bold type of characters. While the second floor is filled with feminine touches where the bridal corner is also located.

In 2009, the website is updated so all customers’ eyes --inside and outside Indonesia-- experience the pleasure of watching the most fabolous design of jewelry. Not only that, with the idea of enhancing beauty of more active customers or customers outside Jakarta, it is now also available for e-purchase with convenient payment and package system.

Finally, in response to the soaring competition in the same industry and globalization era,business development both in website and in branch opening are expected to bring “Elizabeth Wahyu Accessories“ to move forward and stay exceptional.

Designer

Being the sole designer of such an extravagant product, this attractive mother of 1 has been exposed in media as frequently as the product. In the campaign of “Unbreakable Women” in 2007, Sunsilk shampoo chose her to be one of its ambassadors in accordance to her nonstop effort of making her jewelry product stand out both in Indonesia and overseas. In 2008, International brand of skin care, Olay, appointed her as its spoke person to promote its latest product, Olay Regenerist, because her appearance always steal public’s attention. Recently with the first lady of Indonesia, she is also appreciated as one of the 100 most inspiring women in Indonesia by Kartini, one of the most leading woman magazines in Indonesia. Furthermore, when Indonesia’s Bazaar magazine celebrated its 100th edition, Elizabeth Wahyu was covered as one of 100 female personas.

Product

Besides excellent media exposures, the self titled jewelry product actively sponsors some most watched shows in Indonesia; Miss Indonesia pageant and local version of singing competition American Idol, Indonesian Idol. Since 2005, Elizabeth Wahyu Accessories International collection has been made with CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski Elements. Until now, Elizabeth Wahyu Accessories is also one of the few Indonesian jewelry brand whose designs incorporate CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski Elements. In 2007, Elizabeth Wahyu was invited to create a special Spring/Summer collection in one of Swarovski’s jewellery project. Once again in June 2009, Elizabeth Wahyu is designing a jewellery piece for the upcoming Asia's Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Fair in Hong Kong, to be showcased at the trend platform of SS2010 presented by CRYSTALLIZED™ – Swarovski Elements.

CRYSTALLIZED™ – Swarovski Elements is the product brand for Swarovski’s loose crystal elements.
